GVI INTERNSHIP PROGRAM


GVI is seeking candidates for its 2010 Summer and Fall internships.  This is an opportunity for a university student or graduate to gain first-hand experience of the issues and approaches around the UN, the role of values in international system functioning, and to be part of activities toward progressive realization of universal values.

Intern candidates will be university students or graduates, preferably in International Relations, Philosophy, Politics or related field; proven interest in questions of values and ethics; good writing and communications skills; and experience with basic data management.

Activities

  • Attend GVI events
  • Meet with international system actors
  • Assist with data gathering and analysis, communications and management

Specific Duties

  1. Assist in organization and on-site support of GVI events
  2. Communications – overseeing correspondence, preparing and distributing communications such as e-newsletters, brochures, and social media messages
  3. Assist in values assessments and analyses
  4. Database management
